Professional Referrals

Life Center of Galax works closely with professionals who refer to our programs.

When a referral source contacts us, we gather information from both the referent and the patient, if available. Once we have confirmed that the prospective patient is appropriate for admission at Life Center of Galax, we schedule the admission and offer to assist with transportation as needed. If the patient is not available at the time that the referent makes the initial inquiry, we will request permission to contact the potential patient for additional information that may be pertinent.

At Life Center of Galax, we accept from referrals from any number of sources, of which may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Hospital social workers and emergency staff
  • Private counselors
  • Probation and parole officers
  • Employers or Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
  • Community services
  • Mental healthcare workers
  • Attorneys or DUI/DWI assessors
  • Physicians practices
  • Clergy
  • Kingdom Recovery and AIR Call Centers
  • Department of Social Workers

We work with male and female patients, aged 18 and older. Our goal is to offer highly individualized treatment that is delivered at the most appropriate level depending on the specific needs of each patient. The varying levels of treatment utilized for chemical dependency and dual diagnosis treatment include:

  • Detoxification Services
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
  • Partial Hospitalization

Please feel free to reach out to our team of admissions coordinators today if you have a patient who you believe may benefit from our treatment services. We have a referent information sheet that you can fill out that will specify the things that you wish to obtain from Life Center of Galax while your patient remains in treatment with us.

It’s certainly not going to always be easy, but you’ll get the best support you need in getting healthy again.
