Marks of Quality Care

At Life Center of Galax, we hold ourselves to the highest standards in addiction medicine. Our superior level of expertise in evidence-based addiction treatment and quality of care provides a wealth of benefits to those entrusted into our care.

Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, or CARF International, is an independent nonprofit organization that assesses the performance of organizations that provide a broad scope of health and human services. CARF has been recognizing excellence in these areas since 1966, when it was formed through a unified endeavor by the Association of Rehabilitation Centers (ARC) and the National Association of Sheltered Workshops and Homebound Programs (NASWHP).

Receiving accreditation through CARF means that a program adheres to internationally accepted standards, is focused on ensuring customer satisfaction, and is committed to making continued improvements in scope and quality of service. As a respected leader in the effort to provide the highest quality of behavioral healthcare services, Life Center of Galax is proud to have earned CARF accreditation.

American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM)

Here at Life Center of Galax, we strive to stay current with advances made in the treatment of addiction. To do this, we employ staff members who are certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). These professionals bring a superior level of expertise to our program, and their knowledge provides a wealth of benefits to our patients. ASAM is always working to improve substance abuse treatment, educate the public, and raise awareness on addiction-related issues. At Life Center of Galax, we share ASAM’s mission, and we aim to be an ever-evolving center that supplies world class treatment. Now and in years to come, we will support ASAM’s efforts to improve substance abuse services, and we will uphold their high standards of clinical excellence.

Life Center of Galax is pleased to partner with TRICARE to provide active duty military service members and their families with the substance abuse treatment they need. TRICARE supplies healthcare coverage so that these individuals can focus on their recovery without having to worry about paying for the full cost of addiction treatment services. When our patients use a TRICARE plan, we work closely with both them and TRICARE to seamlessly coordinate payment for services. In doing so, financial concerns do not have to be a barrier to receiving addiction treatment for those who need it. We are proud to collaborate with TRICARE so that Marine Corps, Navy, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, and National Guard families can achieve the sober lives they deserve.

Jason Foundation

We are proud to support the Jason Foundation and its mission to raise awareness on suicide. Here at Life Center of Galax, we understand the impact that suicide has on our patients and their families. For this reason, we make sure that our staff is full trained to recognize the warning signs of suicide so that appropriate interventions can be made when necessary. Additionally, we offer programming that can help those who are at risk for suicide, and we utilize the Jason Foundation’s invaluable prevention resources. As a leading residential treatment center, we will continue to join forces with the Jason Foundation in the effort to end the silent epidemic of suicide.

Everyone was very friendly and always helpful during my stay which made treatment so much easier to go through.
